They traveled the world together, adopted two boys together and were married for more than six decades.
What makes this story even so unbelievable is that Don and Maxine even left this world together. A couple weeks ago, Don broke his hip and his health was declining. Around the same time, Maxine’s cancer was returning. The family knew the two couldn’t be kept apart during this time, so they transferred Don and Maxine to a bedroom in their granddaughter’s home, side-by-side.
As soon as Maxine passed away, so did Don. This is such a bittersweet, beautiful and emotional story. Please SHARE it.
